If I Knew You Were Coming, I'd Have Baked A Cake is a traveling art installation and pop-up shop, which debuted at the ROCKET gallery in Tokyo in July 2013. Using a mixture of local and Brooklyn-made ingredients, Sarah Keough made food for gallery visitors while they told her stories about meals they'd made or eaten. The project grew out of our fascination with sharing food and stories, receiving unexpected visitors, and forms of money-less exchange. The shop, organized by Put A Egg On It and ROCKET, contained a selection of artisanal food products and magazines from Brooklyn. An additional satellite of this Made in Brooklyn pop-up was installed at Tsutaya Daikanyama T-Site.
